submitted by Katrina E. - |Recommended: NoManagement is bad — I would tell them they lied to me on multiple occasions to get me in to sign the lease. because of the first lie my boyfriend had to cosign then they lied to us again about getting our own internet when i did another touring with him. the first lie when i went on my first touring is i wouldn't have a roommate for the two bed i was originally looking at. i confirmed with the lady so the master bedroom would be mine and we can lock off the other one so i would only pay for the bedroom i use she said yes. now i am someone who has been in unfortunate events due to me being a female you can use your imagination and put two and two together i do not trust people and i had no knowledge of getting a roommate after CONFIRMING it would just be me in the master bedroom. Even reading the lease because i explained to them i had NEVER DONE UNIVERSITY LIVING that when it says roommates if applicable , i assumed that meant if i had someone moving in with me on the lease at the time. When i call not only do i have a roommate i know nothing about i did not get the master bedroom either. and i was stuck in a lease that my boyfriend had to co sign for so he could help me so i wouldnt have a roommate because i absolutey do not trust anyone due to my past truamas. when we when on the tour together he asked them if we could get our own internet and they said yes because we told them we are gamers streamers which he had to pay a 100 payment to get buckeye over only to find out that we cant get our own internet. so yes people will know how much we do not like being lied to here or this place and ive already told people not to live here cause they will lie to you. i wouldn't mind paying 1200 a month if i wasn't lied to the whole time. I would love something to be done to make up for this because its obscured that you have to lie to people to get them in or even the simple fact you don't train your employees well enough to tell the truth about the program. i work in car sales and i know all about being a shark but I'm actually an honest person, i wouldn't and never have lied to my customers to get a sale. It was very unprofessional. we are still very displeased. i would love someone to reach out to me at 269-268-0955 or my email Kespinoz byrider.com.

submitted by Jennifer K. - |Recommended: NoShouldn't have renewed my lease — From the beginning, the staff here has been very rude and dismissive. They don't answer their phones during office hours and when you leave a message they don't call back. It's also a hit or miss if the staff will even be in the office so you can pick up a package. Before moving in we had issues transferring the electricity into our name. I called UHills multiple times about it and they were no help each time. When they called me back about it after the 4th time calling about it they were extremely rude to me and said I was doing it wrong, which was not the case. It took over a month to finally get it fixed. Our AC has been out for over a month and it is currently the middle of the summer its hotter in the apartment than it is outside and every time we call we just get told that it's on order and that there is nothing they can do. After going off on them it took them 5 minutes to get us a window unit. If you want to talk to a manager, good luck because it doesn't seem like they do anything to help their residents here and they just sit in their office if they are even there and do nothing. They are only conveniently available when you are thinking about resigning a lease. Things were okay minus the fact that the apartment was disgusting and had not been cleaned at all. It smelled of smoke, the furniture smells like cat litter, there was food on the counters, cigarette burn marks on the bathtub, huge clumps of hair all over the bathroom, holes in the bathroom floor, broken fans, and probably the most disgusting carpet I have ever seen. Wintertime is a literal disaster in the parking lot and good luck getting out. The snowplow drivers don't know how to plow snow. We got 14 inches of snow and the snowplow didn't show up for over 2 days and when he did show up he did probably the most awful plow job I have ever seen in my life. I couldn't get my car out and I had to dig it out myself. Once I finally got it out of my parking spot I got stuck in the middle of the parking lot because it was not properly plowed. It wasn't until almost a week later that the plow came back to fix it the awful job he did the first time. They also don't tell you when they are coming to fix things and just walk into your apartment unannounced or are knocking after they typed in your door code and are halfway through the door. So if you like being hot, ignored, enjoy smelly, dirty apartments, being walked in on and snowed in for a week this is the place to live.

submitted by Ali I. - |Recommended: YesExcellent place to live — University Hills is a small and pleasant apartment complex. I moved in with my one year old and my wife when I started my masters at UT. I was welcomed with open arms. The one bedroom apartment I have lived in is spacious and well structured. I did not face any problem settling in. The staff is kind and courteous and quick to resolve any issues. The leasing office remains open all week and that's a big plus. A couple of disadvantages with a kid were the lack of in-unit laundry and no dishwasher in my one-bedroom. But they were survivable. Overall I had a great experience and would heavily recommend this place.
response from property -Thank you Ali for your kind words and positive feedback. We have loved having you guys as residents and are sad that you have out grown your space. We will miss you all.

submitted by Hannah R. - |Recommended: YesHighly Recommend — I feel very safe in my apartment community with the security measures provided. Easy and convenient access to the University of Toledo. It is close enough to walk or bike to classes every day. Very nice and helpful maintenance and staff who are responsive to any questions or problems. Many amenities included However, be aware that it is an older apartment complex. Many renovations have been completed over the past few years I have lived here which has been nice, but I still prefer 2nd and 3rd-floor balconies to the 1st-floor patio spaces.
response from property -Thank you Hannah for your review. We are so glad you are enjoying living at University Hills, we enjoy having you as a resident.
